From the mailman who saved a woman on his route from a burning car to the local firefighters who yet again risked their lives to save others, this year’s Spirit of Courage Award recipients ran the gamut from good Samaritans to dedicated professionals.
Listening to recipients recall their riveting tails of life and death moments last night at the annual Spirit of Courage Awards was truly inspiring. To paraphrase one speaker, in today’s world, many of us digest a “daily diet of bad news”. The actions of these individuals counters that message with one of bravery and hope.
Highlights of the evening https://somabest.com/dosage/ include the stories of a young woman who was rescued by motorists after a car accident that left her jeep engulfed in flames and the Phoenix Award recipient, Sharlene Walushka, who survived a suicide attempt and now volunteers to serve other burn victims and support suicide prevention.
Keenan-Nagle was proud to serve as a Silver Sponsor of the Event, now in its 11th year. Our team was honored to attend an audience of over 800 people. Proceeds go to the Burn Prevention Network and Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Regional Burn Center.
